Just In: Black Shoes

If  there is one thing I love more than clothes, it’s shoes.  There’s just something about the power of shoes.  A pair of shoes can make or break an outfit.  They can also take a look from casual to dressy or give a little edge to a more polished look.  The perfect pair of shoes can vary depending on your personal style and your lifestyle, but I think that we can all agree that having a few pairs of black shoes in our wardrobes is a must.

So, for the last few months, I’ve been determined to invest in a few pairs of fabulous black shoes to complement my wardrobe so that I could ditch the cycle of buy and replace.  I was finally able to score three great pairs of black shoes in the last few weeks and I just had to share.

The Cole Haan Amalia Cut Out Skimmer is my most recent purchase. I desperately wanted a pair of black pointed-toe flats and these were just perfect.  The hint of suede and the croc detail add some necessary interest this shoe.

Prada Almond Toe Pump (new style here; affordable option)

The Prada Almond Toe Pump was another great buy.  I needed a simple black pump that was practical enough to be worn to the office, but that was also pretty.  I was super lucky to find these Prada pumps for a steal ($199 from $650).  This pumps is a little over 3 inches and the rounded toe offers comfort that cannot be found in a pointed-toe stiletto.

Last, but certainly not least, are the Jimmy Choo Abel pumps.  I absolutely love these pumps. I’d been stalking them for months and months hoping that they would go on sale (even if it were just 20%) so that I could combine my Nordstrom Notes and get them for a little bargain, but they went of stock before that could happen.  However, thankfully, I spotted them at my local Nordstrom store for a bargain ($178 from $650) so I snagged them. These pumps are simple and somehow super sexy. Such a score.
