Designer Spotlight: PLY Apparel

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I had the pleasure of attending the PLY Apparel fashion event over the weekend to preview their Spring/Summer 2015 collection.  PLY is a plus-size luxury brand based in New York that caters to sizes 14-24.  While their price point is higher than a lot of what is currently available in plus size fashion (ranges from $600 – $2000), their prices are certainly in line with many straight-size luxury brands.

One thing I love about their clothes is the quality.  Their pieces are made from high-quality materials and are very well-constructed, which can be hard to find in plus size fashion.  Personally, I think of their clothes as investment pieces that can be worn over and over for years to come.  If I had to choose one item to invest in from their fall collection, it would be the long black cape coat.  It is made from Italian wool and moves beautifully.  It’s one of those items that you would always reach for when you want to feel a bit glamorous.

Though the fall collection features a lot of black, the fine tailoring and intricate details make these pieces anything but basic.  Above are just a few items from the fall collection that I’m currently obsessed with.  You can find the entire fall collection from PLY here.

Which item is your favorite?

Thanks for reading.
