Currently Craving: Lovely Lace Lingerie

At the start of the new year, I usually like to buy some new lingerie. And as much as I prefer pieces that are pretty with a hint of sexiness, functionality is also extremely important.  So when looking for bras, I tend to look for comfort, support and, of course, lots of lace.

To get the best support, I always look for bras with seams. The more seaming the bra has, the more support the bra will offer.  The only issue with seamed bras is that sometimes the seams are visible through a blouse (usually happens with t-shirts), which is why a t-shirt bra (generally a bra with no seams like #5) would be appropriate in those situations.  However, being that I rarely wear t-shirts this isn’t usually my concern.

Above, are just a few of the bras that are currently on my wish list.  If you are on the hunt for a great bra too, it is important to get measured. You can do it yourself, but it is always better to have it done by an expert. Below, is a video that you may find helpful if you are choosing to measure yourself.

I currently own the black and white one in the first row from cacique and I love it! It's sexy but definitely still functional, puts everything where it's supposed to be and the straps aren't huge (I hate when the straps are super wide, makes the bra feel less sexy).

I live in SC and for years, I went to a local lingerie shop to get new bras a few times a year. Yes, I paid about $50-$75 a bra but they lasted forever if I took care of them. However, it closed a year ago and I have not had any luck anywhere, not even the local department stores. The two other lingerie shops in town suck. They don't know what they are doing. They want the band so tight that I can't breathe and their response is "It will stretch out." Yeah, breathing is overrated. I have been to Lane Bryant and we can NEVER find one that fits. I'm hanging out all over. I wear a 42G. I want full coverage. I don't need lace or anything, I just want a bra that fits and supports. That's all. I have NEVER had a problem before because I always got what I needed at the lingerie shop. I'm open to suggestions because this a new problem for me. It's frustrating. I'm done to one good bra and a few okay bras that can last until summer.
