Swimsuit Season: Choosing a Plus Size Swimsuit

I know, I know…is it that time already? For most women, this time of year, whether they are plus-sized or not, can arouse insecurities because of the dreaded swimsuit.  Buying a swimsuit can be challenging, but if you pay attention to fit, cut and lining (for support), swimsuit shopping will be a breeze.  I have compiled some of my favorite pieces that are designed for curvy ladies so that you can hit the beach and feel fantastic.

Prints

I am a firm believer that a printed swimsuit can be quite flattering on all sizes.  The right print can distract the eye and make the body look slimmer by concealing some of those hills and valleys that so many of us are not too fond of.

1. Monif C. Dominica Swimsuit
2. Monif C. Belize Swimsuit
3. Monif C. Sao Paulo Swimsuit
4. Lane Bryant One Piece Plunge Swimsuit
5. Old Navy Multi-Print Halter Swimsuit (similar option here)
6. Lands End Tropical Floral Print One Piece Swimsuit

Solids
While I do prefer a printed swimsuit, solid swimsuits can be equally flattering, especially depending on the placement of certain details.  Take a look at the Monif C. swimsuits with the fringe and the ruffles. Those small details do a lot to flatter the body.
7. Old Navy Ruched Slit-Neck Swimsuit (also available in prints and three bold colors)
8. Old Navy Ruched-Bandeau Swimsuit (also available in black, teal and fuchsia)
9. Monif C. St. Tropez Swimsuit (also available in fuchsia and teal)
10. Monif C. Espana Swimsuit (also available in red)
These are my picks for now. I realize that I did a lot of one pieces, but if you are so bold as to wear a bikini then more power to you!  Let me know if you find any great swimsuits!

This is funny, "concealing some of those hills and valleys that so many of us are not too fond of." Haha!

Awesome picks by the way! Sadly, summer has officially ended and rainy season has started here. 🙁

Thanks BelaterBloomer! Personally, I am not a huge fan of summer. I don't care for the high temps…I wish it could be spring or fall all year round.
